Dave co-founded doubledave with Principal David Tannenbaum, and together they have overseen a variety of multimedia projects for a wide range of industries, including health care, banking, the arts and nonprofit world, and many more. Along with their team of bright, motivated and technologically savvy professionals, the two "Daves" are known for their ability to adapt easily to change while remaining steadfastly focused on providing excellent service and delivering superior results. The doubledave growing client list includes Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Genentech, PepsiCo and Sutter Health.

Dave formerly was an executive with Bank of America. For more than 15 years, he worked in the bank's Brand and Advertising Creative Services Department, where he started as production artist and eventually became creative director. While with the bank, he introduced animation and multimedia to the company's events, which formerly used 35 mm slides. He also brought desktop publishing into the department, boosting the quality of print and presentation design and production. Additionally, Dave was instrumental in the implementation of full-color animations and interactive design for the bank's ATM screens.

Dave is a graduate of San Francisco's Academy of Art College. He also is on the board of directors of Acrosports, a non-profit organization offering physical, performing and circus arts for students ages 18 months through adult.

Dave enjoys spending time with his family, listening to and seeing live jazz, and cooking.

David formerly was an executive with Bank of America. For more than eight years, he worked in the bank's Brand and Advertising Creative Services Department, where he started as audio visual technician and eventually became executive producer. During his tenure at Bank of America, he gained expertise in animation and other such multimedia programs as AfterEffects, Photoshop, LightWave and Final Cut Pro, while providing multimedia support for meetings, conferences and events held around the country. He also completed the Six Sigma Introduction to Greenbelt training course.

David is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a BA in Multimedia Communications.

He enjoys studying Italian, listening and going to live music shows, cycling and raising Belgian Sheepdogs.

Vanessa Higgins
Director of Client Development

Vanessa Higgins has over 13 years of extensive human resources and business experience. 
 
Vanessa worked as a Vice President for Bank of America with over 12 years of experience in a variety of human resources functions supporting high-level executives with staffing, leadership development, employee programs, and events planning.  Vanessa spent 4 years working exclusively with the President of Card Services, and his Executive Team, planning and implementing all aspects of high profile leadership conferences hosting 125 to 200 attendees, national roadshows, and quarterly executive business retreats.  She received a Six-Sigma Greenbelt certification from Bank of America after completing a 9-month Design for Six-Sigma project.
 
Prior to Bank of America, Vanessa spent 2 years working at Gonzaga University as the Interview Training Program Director in the Career Resources Center.
 
Vanessa has been a keynote speaker for Charlotte’s Job-Seekers Support Group, Career Connections Support Group, and other non-profit organizations.  She developed a Welfare to Work training program with Goodwill Industries and provided classroom instruction.
 
Vanessa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Gonzaga University.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, creating abstract acrylic on canvas and metal artwork, exercising, home improvement projects, and she has a weakness for classic cars.

Sue Ward
Client and Production Executive

From teaching to training, Sue has done it all. Described by Principal Dave Pistoni as "our jack-of-all trades," Sue joined doubledave in 2006 as Client and Production Executive, overseeing project management, research and day-to-day logistics for the doubledave office in Oakland, CA.

Sue formerly was an executive with Bank of America, working in the company's Creative Services group for more than 20 years. While managing a team of traffic managers and print buyers, she led several enterprise-wide initiatives, including implementing an internet print bid/buying system; developing a preferred supplier program and paper program; establishing and applying best practices among preferred suppliers; and committing the bank to spending 10 percent of its supplier budget with minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged businesses. Prior to this, Sue held positions as print production manager and training instructor.
 
Sue is a graduate of San Jose State University with a B.A. and M.A. in English. Her relationship with the school continued after graduation as she taught English for a year.

Sue enjoys the outdoors, reading, ballet, gardening, cooking and spending time with her granddaughter and three children when they visit and take over her home.
